Our quest for the perfect Pornstar
Ahhh the Pornstar Martini. Line up 20 British women in a bar and we'd bet good money that at least 5 of them would vote this their number 1 cocktail. And for bloody good reason.
Combine the sweet and punchy flavour of passionfruit with the smoothness of vanilla and chuck in a shot of Prosecco for good measure, the result = a cocktail that is literally impossible not to like.
Trust us when we say we've tried A LOT of these in our time and they tend to vary quite a bit from place to place. For example, some places make them with orange juice, others with passionfruit juice and others with pineapple juice. Some use passionfruit syrup, others puree and some use none at all. While we have our preferences, it's hard to get the flavour too wrong. BUT, our biggest bugbear (and one that unfortunately we see quite a lot) is when there is no creamy froth for the passionfruit to bathe in.
In our humble opinion, if the froth is absent, it is just not good enough (we will still drink it obviously because, who wastes alcohol?!)
How to make the perfect Pornstars

Here is the recipe and instructions to make 2 servings:
- 75 ml vanilla vodka
- 25 ml passionfruit liqueur
- 25 ml passionfruit puree
- 200ml pineapple juice
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker without ice and shake vigorously - this step is key to achieving that froth!
Add ice and shake again for around 30 seconds. Strain into 2 martini glasses and serve with shots of Prosecco.
